On 23 February 2024, TURKPA Chair-in-Office, Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye (GNAT) Numan Kurtulmuş with the accompanying delegation visited the TURKPA Secretariat in the framework of his visit to Azerbaijan to take part in the 14th Plenary Session of Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA).

Head of Parliament was accompanied by the members of the GNAT Elvan Işık Gezmiş, Şamil Ayrım, Abdülkadir Emin Önen, İlyas Topsakal, Kürşad Zorlu, Mustafa Bilici and Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to the Republic of Azerbaijan Cahit Bağcı.

Welcoming the guests, TURKPA Secretary General Mehmet Süreyya Er informed about the activities of the Secretariat.

Speaker of the GNAT thanked the Secretary General and the Secretariat staff for warm welcome. He expressed his confidence that cooperation of Turkic states would be further strengthened and would contribute to the development of inter-parliamentary and other important areas of Turkic cooperation.
