On 22 February 2024, TURKPA delegation led by Secretary General Mehmet Süreyya Er took part in the 14th Plenary Session of Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) on "Fostering regional cooperation for sustainable development in Asia" hosted by the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan, in Baku.
The session was attended by parliamentary delegations from 40 countries, including Heads of Parliament from 10 countries.

Expressing hope for important results that will ensure solidarity and cooperation among Asian countries, Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye Numan Kurtulmuş handed over the chairmanship of the APA, which Türkiye has held since 2017, to Speaker of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan Sahiba Gafarova.
The session continued with the meetings of the APA’s Standing Committees.
Baku Declaration and the Final Report of the 14th Plenary Session were also adopted at the session.
