Workshop of Commission on Economic Cooperation was held in Kazakhstan
On 19 May 2022, a workshop in the framework of the TURKPA Commission on Economic Cooperation entitled “Innovative Activities of SME’s in Stabilization of Economy’s Increase in Post-Pandemic Period” hosted by the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan took place in Nur-Sultan.
The workshop brought together parliamentarians and experts from the member states, as well as representatives of the ministries and other relevant bodies of Kazakhstan.
The opening ceremony was addressed by Mr. Amerkhan Rakhimzhanov, Chairman of the Commission, Member of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan and members of the Commission – Mr. Aghalar Valiyev, member of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Dastanbek Dzhumabekov, member of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, Mr. Şenel Yediyıldız and Mr. Yaşar Karadağ, members of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye.
During the panel sessions, the participants stressed the need to direct the efforts to implement new approaches in economic development using contemporary methods and infrastructure, along with the addressing the negative consequences of the pandemic in economy. The participants focused on the elaboration and launch of digitalized transport logistical hubs between the member states for the trade and service flow while discussing the stabilization and growth of economies of the member states. Noting the necessity to derive the economy from shadow, the participants exchanged views on exclusive ways to support and promote small and medium business in their respective states.
Meetings with Mr. Alibek Kuantyrov, Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Kairat Torebaev, Vice-Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Mr. Baurzhan Orazgaliev, Head of the Apparatus of the “Atameken” National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, were held within the framework of the workshop.
Deputy Secretary General Mr. Talgat Aduov and Secretary of the Commission Mrs. Kunduz Rustembekova took part at the event.
