TURKPA delegation took part at the event dedicated to the unity of the children of the Turkic World
On 22 April 2022, within the framework of the 9th Meeting of the Commission on Social, Cultural and Humanitarian Affairs, the TURKPA delegation comprised of parliamentarians and experts from the member countries, as well as the representatives of the Secretariat attended an event titled “Unity of the children of the Turkic World”, dedicated to 23 April, the National Sovereignty and Children’s Day of Türkiye and an exhibition of paintings by Azerbaijani artist Kovsar Gurban, hosted by the International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation. The event was also attended by ambassadors of the Turkic states and other officials.
The event was organized with the aim of further strengthening cultural ties between Turkic states and familiarizing the younger generation with the material and spiritual values of the Turkic World.
At the celebration, children representing Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan performed songs, dances in national costumes, played national musical instruments and read poems expressing the solidarity of the Turkic World. During the performances children were presented certificates and gifts by the guests.
