TURKPA delegation visited Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University
On 13 January 2022, TURKPA delegation headed by Secretary General Mehmet Süreyya Er met with First Vice Rector of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University (KTMU) Asylbek Kulmyrzayev. Prof. Mustafa Orçan, Vice Rector, Doç. Dr. Oktay Özgül, General Secretary, Dr. Kadri Ağgün, Director of Foreign Affairs Office, Dr. Bülent Namal, Radio Television Director, Deputy Director of Press and Public Relations took part at the meeting, as well.
During the meeting, Mr. Kulmyrzayev gave detailed information on the activities of the University, noting that KTMU ranked 156th among the top 451 universities in Eastern Europe and Central Asia in the QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) ranking. The ranking is prepared by evaluating universities from 30 countries according to 10 various criteria. QS is known as one of the most popular university rankings in the world.
In his turn, Secretary General highly appreciated the University as one of the leading higher educational institutions in Central Asia that meets internationally recognized requirements and stressed the role of the University in preparing of highly qualified specialists in various spheres, including education and science, as a result of successfully implemented academic work.
In the scope of this visit Secretary General gave interview to MEDIAMANAS Live TV and Anadolu Agency. MEDIAMANAS is the Media Center of the University, which has a TV studio and Radio channel with the most modern equipment of Kyrgyzstan and Central Asia. The Center is not only used by the university staff, but it is open to other public and private tv channels, musicians and production studios, as well. It offers an admirable service with its experienced team, which has worked in reputable media organizations of Turkey and Kyrgyzstan for many years.
