Secretary General met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic
On 14 January 2022, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Ruslan Kazakbaev received the Secretary General, within the frame of his official visit to the Kyrgyz Republic.
Mr. Kazakbaev congratulated Mr. Er on his assumption of office and noted the essential role of TURKPA, as an institution of parliamentary diplomacy in the direction of strengthening cooperation between the Turkic Speaking Countries.
Minister also underlined the importance of expanding TURKPA with joining of the brotherly parliaments of Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Hungary.
Secretary General expressed his gratitude to Mr. Kazakbaev and briefed about the current activities of the organization and the events planned for 2022, including preparations for the 11th Plenary Session to be held in the second half of 2022 in Kyrgyzstan.
