TURKPA attended meeting of Council of Foreign Ministers
TURKPA Secretary General attended the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Turkic Council on 11 November 2021 in Istanbul held within the framework of the 8th Summit of the Turkic Council.
Foreign Ministers of the Turkic Council member countries, as well as Turkmenistan, Hungary and heads of Turkic cooperation organizations attended the meeting. During the meeting, the Azerbaijani side handed over the Chairmanship to the Republic of Turkey.
In his speech, Secretary General Mehmet Süreyya Er noted the 8th Summit that coincides with the 30th anniversary of independence of Turkic Speaking states as a milestone in terms of strengthening the spirit of unity and cooperation among the fraternal member countries. Secretary General informed on the current and future activities of the Assembly and reaffirmed commitment of TURKPA to fulfill its responsibilities as a parliamentary dimension of Turkic cooperation.
The Ministers finalized the relevant documents on the agenda and the Summit Declaration to be signed during the Summit of the Heads of State on 12 November.
