TURKPA took part at ANKASAM conference
On 6 November 2021, TURKPA Deputy Secretary General took part at the online conference “Searching for Integration in the Shadow of the Global Power Struggle and the Turkic World” held by the Ankara Center for Crisis and Policy Studies (ANKASAM), with participation of states and public figures, representatives of international organizations, diplomatic missions, academic communities of Turkic Speaking countries and other countries such as Belgium, China, Georgia, Hungary, India, Pakistan, Russia, Ukraine, United Kingdom and USA.
Within the framework of the event, five sessions were held on “The New Great Game and the Turkic World: Threats and Opportunities”, “The Search for Cooperation in the Turkic World”, “The Search for Cooperation in Eurasia”, Turkic World and Regional-Global Actors” and “The Future of the Integration Process in the Turkic World”.
The opening ceremony of the conference was addressed by the President of ANKASAM Prof. Mehmet Seyfettin Erol, TURKSOY Secretary General Prof. Dusen Kaseinov, TURKPA Deputy Secretary General Mr. Talgat Aduov, Vice-President of the International Turkic Academy Mr. Fuzuli Mejidli and Vice-Rector of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Mrs. Gulshat Yusupova.
Welcoming the participants, Mr. Aduov congratulated Azerbaijan and other Turkic countries on the occasion of the anniversary of the Victory in the Second Karabakh War. He also discussed the development prospects of the Turkic world, as well as integration projects for cooperation of Turkic countries.
The participants discussed problems, risks and challenges of modern times and proposed relevant solutions and methods of cooperation based on their area of work and experience. They noted the significance of peaceful efforts of states in addressing regional and global security challenges. The participants also stressed the role and contribution of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev to the unity of Turkic peoples and integration processes in the Turkic world.
