Roundtable dedicated to Azerbaijan-Kyrgyzstan cooperation was held at the Secretariat
Roundtable titled "Azerbaijan and the Kyrgyz Republic: Achievements and Prospects for Cooperation", dedicated to the 30th anniversary of independence of the countries, was held at the TURKPA Secretariat on 3 July 2021.
Parliamentarians from both countries, representatives of academic communities and the Secretariat took part at the roundtable.
Secretary General Mr. Altynbek Mamaiusupov, Head of Azerbaijan-Kyrgyzstan Interparliamentary Friendship Group Mr. Musa Guliyev and members of this Group Mr. Nizami Jafarov and Mrs. Sadagat Valiyeva, Deputy Head of the Committee on International Affairs, Defence and Security of Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic Mr. Kanybek Imanaliyev delivered speeches during the roundtable.
Welcoming the guests, Secretary General touched on the role of the Assembly in the strengthening relationships between the member countries and briefed on its activities in this context.
The participants stressed that the common roots and cultural affinity provide a solid foundation for the advancement of cooperation among the Turkic-speaking countries. Noting the achievements of the countries the over the past 30 years, the participants exchanged views on the current state and prospects of cooperation between the two fraternal countries.
