TURKPA delegation met with Chairperson of Senate of Uzbek Parliament
On 24 June 2021, Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Mrs. Tanzila Narbayeva received TURKPA delegation taking part in the international Forum "Global inter-parliamentary cooperation in achieving Sustainable Development Goals".
Chairperson underlined the great importance attached by Uzbekistan to strengthening relationship with Turkic-speaking countries, particularly development of cooperation in political, economic, cultural and other priority areas such as tourism and sports.
The delegation expressed thier gratitude for the warm hospitality and high-level organization of the Forum and noted that holding such events significantly contributes to the advancement of inter-parliamentary cooperation, as well as promotion and global presentation of heritage and culture of the country.
The parties discussed accession of Uzbekistan to the Assembly.
