Secretary General met with Kazakh Minister of Foreign Affairs
On 6 February 2020, Secretary General Altynbek Mamaiusupov met with Mr. Mukhtar Tileuberdi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the framework of his visit to Baku to attend the Extraordinary Meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Turkic Council.
Secretary General briefed the Minister on the work being carried out within the framework of the Assembly. In his turn, Kazakhstani Foreign Minister expressed readiness to support TURKPA's activities and initiatives.
The parties discussed the outcomes of the Ninth Plenary Session held in December 2019 in Baku, exchanged views on future prospects of Turkic cooperation and touched upon the upcoming chairmanship of Kazakhstan in TURKPA, as well as stressed the significance of obtaining status at the leading international organisations, such as Parliamentary Assembly of OSCE and others.
