Secretary General met with Kyrgyz Foreign Minister
Secretary General Altynbek Mamaiusupov met with Mr. Chingiz Aidarbekov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic on 5 February 2020 in the framework of his visit to Baku to attend the Extraordinary Meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Turkic Council.
Secretary General informed the Minister on current and future activities of the Assembly. Mr. Aidarbekov noted the significance of inter-parliamentary cooperation and in this context the role of TURKPA in strengthening cooperation among Turkic-speaking countries and expressed readiness to render support to the activities of the organisation.
The parties exchanged views on the outcomes of the Ninth Plenary Session held in December 2019 in Baku and further development of cooperation among the member countries and discussed the opportunities of strengthening relationships with other international organisations in Eurasian region.
