Secretary General participated in conference “The Women of Turkic World: from past to present”
Secretary General Mr. Altynbek Mamaiusupov delivered a speech during the conference titled “The Women of Turkic World: from past to present” organized by International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation in cooperation with the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan on 11 October 2019 within the framework of the “Turkic World Week” dedicated to the 7th Summit of the Turkic Council.
In his speech, Secretary General stressed the importance of the activities carried out by the Foundation in promotion of the cultural heritage of the Turkic peoples. Noting the subject as one of the key issues on the agenda of the Assembly, Mr. Mamaiusupov informed on the activities implemented in this direction and forthcoming establishment of the platform of women parliamentarians under the TURKPA auspices.
Representatives of Turkic cooperation institutions and academic communities participated in the conference. Participants exchanged views on the role of Turkic women in history, their participation in public life and influence to the cultural heritage.
