Speaker of Parliament of Turkey received TURKPA delegation

On 8 August 2018, a senior diplomatic staff of the TURKPA Secretariat led by Secretary General Altynbek Mamaiusupov met with the newly elected Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (GNAT) Binali Yildirim.

Mr. Mamaiusupov gave information to the GNAT Speaker about TURKPA, having talked about current tasks and objectives of the Assembly emphasizing also on the need to evolve a practical result-oriented cooperation under the TURKPA aegis along with expertise accumulation.

Talking about TURKPA’s importance for the Turkic world, Mr. Yildirim reaffirmed a full support of Turkey, as one of the founding members, to TURKPA and expressed his belief that all the six Turkic-speaking countries would constitute Turkic cooperation platform at the institutional level.

The parties also conversed about organizational matters of the forthcoming Eighth Plenary Session and tenth anniversary of TURKPA in this framework to be hosted by Turkey in 2018 Fall. During the talks, Secretary General Mamaiusupov also officially invited Mr. Yildirim to visit the TURKPA headquarters and discussed approximate dates of expected visit.

Secretariat’s delegation comprised Deputy Secretaries General Mr. Fuad Alakbarov, Mr. Nauryz Aidarov and Ali Yildiz, representatives of the parliaments of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Turkey respectively.
