Centenary of Azerbaijani Armed Forces was marked with solemn military parade
On 26 June 2018, a solemn military parade was held in Baku to mark the 100th anniversary of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces.
The parade was attended by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev, first lady Mehriban Aliyeva, as well as state and government officials, members of parliament, ambassadors and military attaches, representatives of international organizations, heads of foreign delegations, war veterans and representatives of the society.
More than 100 delegates from Turkey, Pakistan, Belarus, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Georgia, Iran, Israel, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Russia, Saudi Arabia and Ukraine also attended the parade.
More than 240 units of military equipment, 70 aircrafts, including the latest and most modern types of weaponry and armored vehicles, missile and artillery systems, air defense systems, helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as military ships and boats were demonstrated at the solemn ceremony.
TURKPA Deputy Secretary General Mr. Fuad Alakbarov also attended the parade.
