Chairman of Mazhilis of Kazakhstan met with Secretary General
On 27 December 2017, Secretary General Altynbek Mamaiusupov was received by Mr. Nurlan Nigmatulin, Chairman of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Mr. Nigmatulin congratulated Altynbek Mamaiusupov on his election as Secretary General and wished him every success in the future activities. The Chairman emphasized the importance of TURKPA, as a platform of regional integration of the countries bound by common ethnical, cultural and historical ties. He also reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s full support to further development of cooperation between the member countries and placed particular emphasis on the role to be played by the TURKPA Secretariat in enhancing relationships among the four countries within the Assembly’s framework.
Secretary General Mamaiusupov thanked the Chairman for his comprehensive support to TURKPA and briefly informed him on plans and undertakings of the Secretariat for 2018. Mr. Mamaiusupov underlined the need of the Assembly to boost TURKPA’s activities with pursuing practical and result-oriented cooperation.
The Chairman of the Committee on International Affairs, Security and Defense of the Mazhilis Mr. Maulen Ashimbayev also took part in the meeting.
